I am a Consultant Gynaecological Surgeon and Oncologist at the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust, based at the Belfast City Hospital. I specialise in treating women requiring complex pelvic surgery and women with gynaecological cancers.

Most of my training has taken place in Northern Ireland and England but I have also trained in Toulouse, France and Melbourne, Australia.

My special interests include the care of women with endometriosis/ pelvic pain, fibroids, heavy or irregular periods, vaginal discharge, ovarian cysts, endometriosis, abnormal smears, cancer screening and treatment , vulval problems such VIN (but not Lichen sclerosis) . In particular I am a specialist in keyhole (laparoscopic) surgery, difficult pelvic surgery for both benign conditions and cancer . I also perform colposcopy for abnormal smears.

From 2024, I am now delighted to offer Robotic keyhole surgery for women requiring surgery for endometriosis and those requiring a hysterectomy.

I do not see pregnant patients, patients under 18 years of age, patients with prolapse and women not registered with a GP in Northern Ireland (or the UK).
