Dr Adrian Pendleton is a Consultant Rheumatologist and Clinical Lead for Rheumatology in the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust.
Dr Adrian Pendleton trained in both Rheumatology and General Internal Medicine in Belfast and Nottingham. He was first appointed as a consultant Rheumatologist at the Queens Medical Centre, Nottingham University Hospitals before returning to the Belfast Trust Health and Social care Trust.
Dr Pendleton is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh and a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland and a Fellow of the British Society for Sport and Exercise Medicine (BASM). He works for the Standard setting Group within the Royal College Physicians for the Rheumatology Specialty Clinical Examination.
Dr Pendleton leads on several specialty clinics with Allied Health professional in Early inflammatory arthritis, Ankylosing Spondylitis, Psoriatic Arthritis and Gout. He has many research interests which include early diagnosis and management of inflammatory arthritis, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Psoriatic Arthritis and Axial Spondyloarthritis. Use of musculoskeletal ultrasound in Inflammatory arthritis, Giant Cell Arteritis and Crystal Arthritis and soft tissue injury.
