I am a full time ENT / Head & Neck & Thyroid Consultant in the Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast. I graduated from Queen's University of Belfast Medical School and thereafter transferred to London where I undertook all my ENT training in Great Ormond Street, Guy's & St Thomas' Hospitals from 2000 until 2006. Subsequently I carried out Thyroid and Head & Neck Fellowships in Memorial Sloane Kettering, New York, the European Hospital Georges Pompidou, Paris and finally in Christchurch Public Hospital, New Zealand. I was appointed as Consultant ENT / Head & Neck and Thyroid to East Kent University Hospitals Trust in 2007 on my return from New Zealand. I subsequently ran the London Thyroid Clinic in 108 Harley Street, London and also performed snoring surgery for many years in The Private Clinic, 98 Harley Street, London until my return to Belfast with my family in 2014 to take up my current post in the Royal Victoria Hospital. I took up the post of Programme Director for ENT training for Northern Ireland shortly after my return to Belfast. I subspecialise in thyroid surgery (including minimally invasive) , voice , salivary gland disease and Head & Neck cancers, being a core member of both regional Thyroid and Head & Neck Multidisciplinary Teams. I am fully trained in all aspects of adult and children's ENT ranging from tonsillectomy and grommet insertion to major Head & Neck /Thyroid surgery.
