I have been a full-time consultant in the NHS from 2009. During this time, I have led and developed my NHS Paediatric Allergy service providing multidisciplinary allergy clinics including clinics dedicated for teenagers with allergy, oral food challenges, a penicillin allergy delabelling service and oral immunotherapy for grass pollen allergy. I am able to bring this vast experience and expertise in the management of children with allergies to the Ulster Independent Clinic.
I completed my undergraduate medical training at Queen's university, Belfast and during this time I also undertook a BSc in Medical Genetics. I was the first paediatrician in NI to complete the MSc in Allergy, graduating with distinction from Southampton University in 2010. I am an honorary lecturer for Queens University, Belfast. I currently have a leadership role in the NHS as CD for Paediatrics for the NHSCT. Having previously been clinical lead for this service. I am a founding member and Allergy lead for the Northern Ireland Paediatric Respiratory and Allergy Network.
